This paper presents a descriptive overview of the interpretative and distributive properties of the grammatical marker ge3 in Cantonese. It provides a Cantonese perspective on the nature of a marker with both adnominal and sentence-final mood marking functions which prevails in numerous East and Southeast Asian languages
