Continuidad discursiva y evidencialidad citativa en el marcador discursivo por su parte

Resumen
Esta investigación demuestra que el marcador discursivo de continuidad por su parte no forma parte necesariamente de una serie y no impone restricciones sobre la orientación argumentativa de las unidades discursivas que conecta. El análisis de corpus revela, además, que el significado básico de continuación es determinado según el referente del posesivo y el tipo de discurso. Cuando el deíctico se refiere a un agente y aparece en discurso referido, el marcador asume un valor evidencial, que había sido ignorado en la bibliografía. Así pues, el artículo se ocupa de caracterizar las funciones de por su parte, centrándose en la función híbrida entre la continuación discursiva y la evidencialidad citativa. Finalmente, trata cuestiones teóricas derivadas, como el tratamiento como marca de evidencialidad citativa, y la relación entre evidencialidad y polifonía.
Abstract
This research demonstrates that the continuity discourse marker por su parte is not necessarily part of a series and does not impose restrictions on the argumentative orientation of the discourse units connected. The corpus-study also reveals that the basic meaning of continuation is determined depending on the referent of the possessive and the type of discourse. When the deictic refers to an agent and appears in reported speech, then the marker develops an evidential value, which has been ignored in the literature to date. Thus, the article deals with characterizing features of the main functions of por su parte, with a focus on its hybrid function between the discourse function and the quotative evidentiality. Finally, it aims at the theoretical issues derived, such as its treatment as a mark of quotative evidentiality or the relation between evidentiality and polyphony.
