文章首先指出《漢語韻律語法學綱要》作為一部兼具教材性和理論探索性的韻律語法學著作所具有的重要價值。接著，按照四個部分的基本框架對全書內容做扼要介紹。之後，結合自身認識，對本書進行簡要的評價與思考。韻律語法學以「韻律與語法協同互動」為要義，形成了一套獨具特色的學理原則，是一門獨立的語言學原創理論。這一開創性的理論為漢語語言學乃至普通語言學的界面研究提供了令人耳目一新的「韻律」方案，具有廣闊的應用前景。
