Résumé
La cataphore, appréhendée comme choix plus ou moins libre de l’ordre linéaire des désignateurs et des pronoms, est l’un des phénomènes linguistiques les plus nettement porteurs d’une expressivité langagière du sujet parlant (dont l’étude est l’objet d’une stylistique linguistique). Parce qu’elle sélectionne et hiérarchise. Mais surtout parce qu’elle réalise un geste intonatif fort du sujet inscrit dans le discours dont elle permet d’entendre la sensibilité.
Abstract
On the expressivity of cataphora
Understood as a relatively free order of designators and pronouns, cataphora is clearly one of the most expressive linguistic devices available to speakers (whose use of language is the primary aim of linguistic stylistics). This is because cataphora selects and prioritises but, most of all, because it makes the speakers’ intonation real and their sensibility heard.
