Résumé
L’article étudie les collocations correspondant aux verbes de réalisation et leurs bases nominales en anglo-normand à partir du dépouillement exhaustif de la chanson de geste Beuve de Hamptone (fin du XIIe siècle). Les observations concernant les verbes de réalisation sont formalisées moyennant les trois fonctions lexicales standard simples Reali, Facti et Labrealij, ainsi que des fonctions complexes et des configurations de fonctions lexicales incluant les trois fonctions mentionnées. Les bases des collocations sont décrites moyennant des étiquettes sémantiques qui, comme les fonctions lexicales, relèvent de la Lexicologie Explicative et Combinatoire. L’article présente un grand nombre d’exemples et de nombreuses observations concernant la traduction de l’anglo-normand au français moderne.
Abstract
On fulfillment verbs in Anglo-Norman
This paper examines the collocations corresponding to fulfillment verbs and their nominal bases in Anglo-Norman French through an exhaustive scrutiny of the chanson de geste Beuve de Hamptone (end of the 12th century). The analysis concerning the fulfillment verbs is formalized through the three simple standard lexical functions Reali, Facti et Labrealij, as well as through complex functions and configurations of lexical functions that contain these three mentioned simple functions. The bases of the collocations are described in terms of semantic labels that, as the lexical functions, are part of the Explanatory Combinatorial Lexicology. The paper includes a large number of examples and makes numerous remarks about the translation from Anglo-Norman to Modern French.
