近年來台灣閩南語（以下簡稱台語）的研究逐漸受到重視，量詞相關的研究不少，然而專門針對台語分類詞的研究相對稀少，主要的原因可能在於分類詞的定義不清，導致各家看法不一，甚或略而不談，連帶影響分類詞的教學。本文以Her, One-Soon & Hsieh, Chen-Tien. 2010. Google Scholar logo with link to Google Scholar對於漢語分類詞與量詞所提出語意和語法測試作為基礎，界定台語分類詞範疇，並重新檢驗歷年文獻所提出的台語分類詞或量詞語料，建立83 個分類詞清單，其中65 個為分類詞，18 個為分類詞與量詞兼具，此清單可以與台灣華語的分類詞清單做比較（如：Her, One-Soon & Lai, Wan-Jun. 2012. Distinguishing classifiers in Taiwanese Southern Min
The past few decades have witnessed great progress in the study of Taiwanese Southern Min (TSM). A good many studies of measure words can be found, yet very few studies of classifiers are available, which may be largely due to the lack of a rigorous methodology and explicit criteria to distinguish classifiers (C) from measure words (M). This conspicuous void may adversely affect the teaching of TSM classifiers. With an aim to classify classifiers, we employ syntactic and semantic tests to distinguish classifiers from measure words as proposed in Her, One-Soon & Hsieh, Chen-Tien. 2010. On the semantic distinction between classifiers and measure words in Chinese. Language and Linguistics 11(3). 527–551.Google Scholar logo with link to Google Scholar and Her, One-Soon. 2012. Google Scholar logo with link to Google Scholar for Mandarin Chinese, and come up with an inventory of 83 TSM classifiers (65 being classifiers and 18 both classifiers and measure words) by examining the lists of classifiers/measure words found in previous literature. This inventory can be compared with one in Taiwan Mandarin (e.g. Her, One-Soon & Lai, Wan-Jun. 2012. Classifiers: The many ways to profile ‘one’ – A case study of Taiwan Mandarin.
