The pedagogy of training Chinese students’ intonation online

Abstract
This paper focuses on how the web-based intonation training occurred in the research project by Jiang, Y., & Chun, D. M. (2023). Web-based
intonation training helps improve ESL and EFL Chinese students’ oral speech, Computer Assisted
Language
Learning, 36(3), 457–485, . It describes the pedagogical design, materials and activities, as
well as the overall training plan. It also evaluates the effectiveness of this pedagogy. The findings have implications for
applying the materials and activities in future research and teaching of L2 students’ intonation.
