Abstract
This work presents a practical perspective on the challenges of translation and interpretation in the context of an
international project. It uses the European Twinning project titled “Support to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
for the strengthening of pedagogical competencies of teacher-researchers and the governance capacities of managers” (PAPERS) as a case
study. The unique situations that emerged during this project, from linguistic, cultural, social, political, economic, and even health
perspectives — arising from the impact of the 2019 coronavirus pandemic in its midway development — make it an intriguing subject for
observation within the domains of Translation, Interpretation, Education, and related areas concerning learning methods and the use of new
technologies.
