Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of the situation of
women in the field of Roman private law. It deals with the various situations in
which women are placed, whether as married women, divorced women,
concubines, mothers or widows, or as daughters subject to parental
authority. Other related issues such as the tutela mulierum or the SC
Velleianum are also studied.
