Catalan national identity and popular biographies from Editorial Alcides

The 1960s saw the publication in Catalan society of a collection of popular biographies from a small and little-known publishing house, Editorial Alcides. This study focuses on the subjects of the biographies and proposes that the main aim of the publishers was to reconstruct Catalan national identity.
