Migrant narrative as the case of cultural translation

En dépit des études menées dans le domaine des sciences sociales, les migrants sous souvent représentés à tort comme un groupe homogène qui contribuerait à l’économie du pays d’accueil, ou, au contraire, utiliserait de manière disproportionnèe les ressources de l’Etat providence. Une telle schématisation encourage la formulation d’interprétations simplifiées des transitions migratoires d’une culture à une autre. Nous suggérons que les narratifs des migrants offrent une autre repésentation plus nuancée des expériences migratoires et peuvent fournir un éclairage précieux sur la traduction culturelle et linguistique.
