Intelligence interculturelle et terminologie comparée

Le thème du colloque de la CIUTI en 2020 mettait en relation l’intelligence artificielle et l’intelligence interculturelle. Le présent article se situe du côté de l’intelligence interculturelle dans sa dimension pragmatique. La question de la signification de l’intelligence interculturelle et des modalités de sa mise en pratique se pose avec acuité pour les disciplines que nous enseignons à l’ISIT et mène à une dimension didactique, qui vise à préciser comment nous entendons éveiller l’intelligence interculturelle de nos étudiant.es. Nous présentons en ce sens l’apport de la terminologie comparée, une discipline installée à la rencontre de deux ou plusieurs systèmes linguistiques et de deux ou plusieurs systèmes culturels et illustrons cet apport par un retour d’expérience sur deux ateliers collaboratifs.

The theme of the CIUTI conference in 2020 linked artificial intelligence and intercultural intelligence. The present article focuses on the pragmatic dimension of intercultural intelligence. The question of the meaning of intercultural intelligence and of the ways in which it can be put into practice is an acute one for the disciplines we teach at ISIT and leads to a didactic dimension, which aims to specify how we intend to awaken the intercultural intelligence of our students. In this sense, we present the contribution of comparative terminology, a discipline installed at the meeting point of two or more linguistic systems and two or more cultural systems and illustrate this contribution by a feedback on two collaborative workshops.
