Abstract
How to elicit deep discussions of complex topics?
This commentary first briefly introduces several methods commonly used to elicit discussions in CFL classes. The methods include “opposing views,” “anachronistic practices,” and “one-man show.” Another method, “intentionally negative selection,” is illustrated with a concrete business Chinese case, and verified by psychological evidence, manageable process, and results of instruction.
