Abstract
Exploring language and cultural education innovations in the era of digital intelligence
This paper explores innovative methods for teaching Chinese language and culture in the era of digital
intelligence, with a particular focus on the impact and applications of ChatGPT and digital humanities technologies in education.
The authors first analyze the advantages and challenges of ChatGPT in international Chinese education, followed by a discussion of
the critical role of digital humanities as a theoretical framework and research methodology in guiding the innovation in cultural
education. Using concrete examples, the paper elaborates on practical applications of AI tools in Chinese language and cultural
teaching and explores the future direction of creating interdisciplinary course models. The authors argue that digital
intelligence tools have immense potential for advancing Chinese teaching, hence the need for lifelong learning and adaptability on
the part of the educators. However, they also caution against over-reliance on technology as the sole pathway to improving
teaching and research quality.
