We would like to thank all the authors of this volume for their valuable
contributions. We are grateful to the anonymous reviewers of all the submissions for
their insightful comments and suggestions, which have made this volume yet another
quality addition to the John Benjamins Translation Library. We would also like to
thank the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the Auckland University of Technology
(AUT) for co-organising the First International Conference on Legal and Healthcare
Interpreting, which brought together health and legal interpreting researchers from
around the world. Contributions from these researchers make up half of the papers in
this volume. Our special thanks go to the China-West Studies Strategic Research
Theme of the HKU Faculty of Arts for the generous sponsorship for the
conference.
And last but not least, we wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the Series Editor, Professor Franz Pöchhacker, for his support, collegiality, and very constructive editorial suggestions.
