In an alternating discourse the two authors (one from translation studies, the
other from adaptation studies) reflect on common issues the two disciplines are
dealing with. As such they also deal with the question of the parallels, common

with include the relationship between the practices and the scholarly disciplines,
the issues of originality and transmediality, the problematic and relativized
relationship source-target, as well as the essential topic of conservation and
gradual change.
