Our bodies implicitly contain our entire life context. While continuously interacting with their environment, our bodies are our past experiences and implied next steps at the same time. Past and future are inseparable in the present bodily process, which is capable of generating highly organized meanings and behavior. “Body memory” is part of what is called “felt sensing” in Focusing terms.
