Introduction

In most scientific studies you will need to run statistical tests. Generally, the purpose of these tests is to determine whether the differences between subgroups’ scores on certain variables are significant. However, almost always you first need to explore the data. The results of your explorations are what we called in Chapter 8, descriptive statistics. The following assignments should train you in some of the basic procedures.
