Yves Gambier's most recent publication on language transfer in the audiovisual media is a welcome addition to the now quickly expanding literature on audiovisual (hereafter AV) translation, because it groups a number of concerns and provides a state-ofthe-art introduction to the different forms of linguistic transfer used in audiovisual communication. The selected bibliography that rounds off the collection of articles bears witness to a growing interest in the field and provides the reader with further introductory material.
