Translating Gender edited by Eleonora Federici (in collaboration with Manuela Coppola, Michael Cronin and Renata Oggero) is a welcome addition to a long series of publications on gender-specific takes on literary and, to a considerably lesser extent, media and commercial translation. The collection of articles also reflects to some degree on creative writing as translation, cultural translation in a broad and inclusive sense of the term, and the issue of gender and language from a linguistic point of view.
