This chapter presents arguments for the adoption of TermBase eXchange (TBX), the ISO standard for terminology exchange, as an import/export format in all software systems that include a terminology data base (term base). It focuses on the design and current status of TBX to show that the standard meets the needs for such an exchange format and that it can deliver benefits for users of term base software.
