The European Association for Terminology (EAFT)
In 1995, a consortium of over 40 partners participated in the POINTER project. The project was co-funded by the European Commission, Directorate General, DGXIII-E as a part of its Multilingual Plan (MLAP) program. The aim was to “produce concrete re-commendations for the design, development, co-ordination and optimization of a comprehensive framework for terminology work in Europe” (POINTER 1995).
