This chapter examines terminology planning in Wales, analyzing its evolution and current institutional framework within Welsh language revitalization efforts. It describes the work of two centres of terminological activity, the Language Technologies Unit at Bangor University and the Welsh Government’s Translation Service, exploring their methodologies, technological infrastructure, and adaptation to resource constraints. It also discusses the implementation of the Welsh Government’s 2023 Linguistic Infrastructure Policy and its impact on terminology work. This chapter details how Welsh terminologists have leveraged technology to enhance terminology development and dissemination, and addresses linguistic considerations specific to Welsh. It concludes by examining the emerging opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence technologies in terminology planning, demonstrating how minority-language terminology work can successfully adapt to such technologies while maintaining quality standards.
